R v Leighton Reading Crown Court 2013

The defendant was acquitted of murder following proactive defence from Hennessy & Hammudi Solicitors. Convicted of manslaughter and received a custodial sentence of 6 years 6 months.

The defendant was charged with one count of murder. Following representations by Hennessy & Hammudi, the prosecution accepted a guilty plea to manslaughter. As a result, the defendant was sentenced to a term of 5 years imprisonment. The murder charge was dismissed.
